Would you ask a squirrel if it knows how high the tree it is jumping on is, I wonder what it would answer.
“Not higher than I can climb.“
“I won’t find out unless I climb it.“
“I will tell you when I’m up there.“
“Never look back when running up, just enjoy the thrill.“
“Does it matter?“
I watched the squirrels in the trees today when I was going for a walk on this colourful autumn day, with the leaves rustling under my feet and a blue sky promising a lovely day.
They were playfully running up and down tree trunks, chasing each other excitedly, jumping carefreely from tree to branch to the ground, and I was amazed.
I could have watched forever. I wanted to join them, to be honest.
