Early bird thoughts

When I got up this morning, I stumbled into the kitchen, half asleep and cursing the dark (a certain someone always lowers the blinds in the kitchen/ living room. I wonder if the sofa needs darkness to sleep?) to make coffee. 🙂

After my first greedy sip (Nespresso, hmmmmm) and the second more savouring one, I heard them.
The sounds of the world outside.

Cars rushing buy, others tuckering along. Windows being opened, conversations of early birds on the street below. Real birds chirping and singing. The wind in the trees.

And it struck me. This world has started its day way earlier than me, without me. When I started mine, it has already been going. This thought gave me peace.

So I made time for my second cuppa and for noting down these words. 🙂

Have a great day everyone!
