Blessed

I was raised by open-hearted parents
that gave us cats as friends
and am part of a soft-hearted family
that builds houses for hedgehogs
and am daughter of an open-eyed father
that sits with us to watch the stars
and also of an open-arms mother
that never goes to bed without a good night kiss.

I do hope to have as much heart.
