Resolution today: I am my best friend
My best friend would tell me:
“Don’t be so hard on yourself. Everybody struggles, that is okay. You do not have to find the solutions to all the problems of your loved ones, or your own. Take a breath. Trust life, and trust yourself.
Take another breath. Allow yourself to just be today. You do not have to do anything. You do not have to meditate, you do not have to be mindful and you do not have to be thankful. You do not have to be better than this. You are perfect the way you are.
Take this day off. Ignore purpose. Ignore sense. Ignore progress and ignore what should be or happen. Ignore organising your day in a meaningful way. Stop judging yourself.
Take this day off and recharge. Eat what you want to eat, drink tea, binge watch a series, play with your cats. Step out of your routine. Be a child. Sleep. Eat. Dream. Repeat. Don’t care. Allow yourself this timeout.
The world won’t stop turning. Your world will await you, when you are ready. Press pause. Trust it, and yourself.“
