I know I am not perfect
I make mistakes, daily
Sometimes I hurt you, though I do not want to
or I just don’t see, though I am looking

I am not perfect
I mean, what is perfect? And to who(m)?
I am not,
I know, neither are you

However, you know, in my eyes
you are perfect-
a perfectly imperfect human

So whenever you prove to be
real and human
and show me your flaws
I am kind of shocked and astonished

A day later though,
I appreciate your imperfections
and hope you can accept mine
and look upon my flaws with
a loving eye.
