Wow, and suddenly it is the end of the school year- and what a crazy one it has been!
I am not sure how many times my teaching mode had to switch, or how many ways my timetable got adapted due to new regulations in this pandemic… what I do know is:
I am proud of the teaching me and my colleagues have provided this year.
I have learned, a lot, about technology and new methods.
I have realized that I as a teacher, as a person in class, can make a difference. And would love to do this in the future.
Furthermore, I have realized how precious it is to be part of my colleagues – they offer a shoulder to cry on, or an open ear to everyday annoyances, as well as support and input and lots of laughter.
I love our coffee breaks, the walks around the park at lunchbreak, the actual lunch breaks in Cafés or restaurants, “miau”s sent around the conference room, going for an ice cream (or stopping at Mc’s drive-in for one) after school, gossiping about weddings and houses being built, or moving in together..
I love how the crowd I spend time with is made of different genders and unique individuals of all ages – and that this does not matter. We are built on friendship and acceptance, and in this we are like-minded. (which I noticed again at the end-of-year dinner/drinks). I mean, we even playerd kahoot together! 😉
Therefore I would like to say THANK YOU and I am looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
