After Bangkok, we booked a guided tour for 6 days through the North of Thailand.
The climate was humid and warm close to the River Kwai/ Kanchanaburi where we stayed for a night in a lovely resort situated among the trees, and it had awesome scenery.
The warm air filled with wet wonders
dropping on my skin
opened something in me
that had been dormant for a time- awe.
Every raindrop that touched me yesterday
was a reminder of the child in me
wanting to laugh out loud with joy
together with you, wondering with you
Being still
and soaking in the beauty of the jungle,
of you, of us and the hot hot hot pools,
made it impossible to ignore the voice in me.
