What I have learned about my birthday thanks to our awesome travel guide in Thailand: the day you were born matters. The date, and the weekday, too.
In Thailand, you have a colour that is yours, according to the day of the week you were born.
I was born on a Thursday, so my colour is orange. (people that were at our wedding may have noticed orange/ coral/ apricot flowers… duh?!)
Furthermore, a different Buddha stands for each weekday. (you may know there a various ways a Buddha can sit, have the hands, stand, etc..).
Again, for my birthday on a Thursday, the meditating Buddha is the one. (again… duh?!?)
Definitely interesting facts.
